International Office

As one of Turkey's leading state research universities, İstanbul Medeniyet University was founded on the five pillars; ‘Innovative,’ ‘Entrepreneurial, ‘Society- and Civilization-Oriented’, ‘International’, and ‘Research-Oriented’ in 2010. Since then internationalization has constituted one of the pivotal axes of IMU’s institutional development. With the objective of internationalization, the International Office was established.

IMU International Office is responsible for managing and developing international activities. International Office runs the exchange programs such as Erasmus+ and Mevlana and full-time student recruitment activities. IMU International Office works for making the most of international project development opportunities, coordinates and implements international study and internship programs for students as well as teaching and training activities for faculty members and administrative staff.

The International Office was established to contribute to the internationalization efforts of IMU; innovative, productive, giving value and importance to different cultures with the full consideration of inclusion. It is a unit that plans and conducts its activities with a participatory approach. IMU International Office values each individual’s mobility, believing in the importance of perspectival and mutual learning for personal and professional development and becoming global citizens.
